Meet Rachel

Clinical Nutritionist and Founder of Busy Families Nutrition

BHSc (Clinical Nutrition), Registered member of the Australian Natural Therapies Association (ANTA).

Hi, I’m Rachel – nutritionist, mum, and creator of realistic food solutions for families.

Before I became a clinical nutritionist, I worked in the IT world – juggling deadlines, takeout, and the kind of stress that eventually caught up with me. After burning out, I found real healing through food and lifestyle changes, which led me to retrain in clinical nutrition while balancing work and early motherhood.

Now, I use that mix of lived experience and professional knowledge to create digital tools that help busy parents feel less overwhelmed about feeding their families – whether that’s tackling lunchbox fatigue, surviving school holidays, or simply getting dinner on the table without complaints.

My Approach

Feeding your family shouldn’t feel like a second full-time job.
I believe in:

  • Balance over perfection – nothing’s “bad,” and progress always counts.

  • Prep that saves your sanity – think freezer-friendly, realistic, repeatable.

  • Simple tools that work – even if the kids reject everything green this week!

I know firsthand how chaotic feeding kids can be – the picky eating, the shifting food moods, the relentless “I’m hungry”, seeking sweet treats routine. That’s why everything I create is built for real life, not Pinterest life.

Why I Started Busy Families Nutrition

This business grew from my own story: burnout, fertility struggles, chronic headaches, and the reality of trying to feed small kids on minimal energy. After discovering the power of food (and ditching the food guilt), I made it my mission to help other parents do the same – in a way that feels calm, practical, and doable.

Through Busy Families Nutrition, I now offer:

  • Free tools to give you quick wins!

  • Low-cost digital guides that fit your week.

  • Realistic advice, grounded in both science and mum-life.

One More Thing...

I still face food challenges, too. Like figuring out how to pack a lunchbox that won’t come home untouched. The ravenous child going through a growth spurt. Or how to make something healthy at the end of a long day when the fridge is nearly empty. You’re not behind – you’re just in it. And I’m right there with you.
